IOn November 25, 2019 the European Union Council published the second corrigendum to the EU Medical Devices Regulation 2017/745 (MDR) which includes corrections and clarifications. Among the changes, the most relevant is the four additional years for Class I devices’ manufacturers to conform to the requirements.

Kiwa has recently obtained the extension of the ACCREDIA LAB n°0001L accreditation for the tests carried out in the Plastic dedicated testing facility in Bologna, Italy.

Moroni & Partners (M&P), a leading provider of engineering services to energy plants, is now part of the Kiwa Group. The acquisition of M&P will further strengthen and improve Kiwa Italy’s international package of services dedicated to the solar sector.

The standards EN 484:1997, EN 521:2006 and EN 14543:2005+A1:2007 have been replaced by new versions. Appliances burning gaseous fuels used for cooking, heating, hot water production, refrigeration, lighting and washing need to be certified based on the updated standards after the dow date.

To be closer to its customers and better understand the real needs of this market, Kiwa will be present at the main international events in the solar sector, from the Far East to North America.

The release of the Certificates in accordance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards to the Damont Group represents the first tangible sign of the start-up process of the activities in South America, thanks to the international coordination between Kiwa Italy and Kiwa América Latina in Peru.
