Vinçotte (member of Kiwa Group) performs inspections, but does much more than that. Our dosimetry solutions are recognized by AFCN and accredited by BELAC to ISO 17025. We offer services and techniques such as:

  • Personal dosimetry: photons and betas. Our dosimeters determine exposure to photons and betas based on different measurement principles: optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and thermoluminescence dosimetry (TLD). In addition to measuring total body dose, they also measure exposure to specific parts of the body, such as the hands or eyes, and inhomogeneous exposure of the body, for example through the use of a lead apron.
  • Personal dosimetry: neutrons. Thermoluminescence dosimeters measure exposure in neutron fields.
  • Environmental dosimetry. Our experts analyze the risks inherent in the workplace on the basis of dosimeter results, and accurately determine the extent to which equipment complies with radiation limits.
  • Consultation with accredited physical control experts. AFCN-accredited experts validate all our measurements. We also deploy a team of experts when further interpretation of dosimetric data is required.
    You periodically receive a paper or digital report of the results, which you can also consult via a secure web application. Our services also include the preparation of annual exposure and decontamination tables. Data exchange with the Central Dose Registry will soon be automated too.
