Label

Read the instructions for designing the label here.

Below you will find the instructions for designing the label. Please pay attention to the following:

  • The heading ‘Fire Extinguisher’ with the filling and rating below must correspond to the inspection report;
  • An equal number of pictograms as instructions, ensuring clarity in formatting;
  • Pictogram size (instruction and class);
  • Arrows in pictograms;
  • Warning information: Pay attention to electrical hazards with water-based fire extinguishers, text in accordance with EN3-7:2004;
  • Information block for extinguishing substance must correspond to the inspection report;
  • Mention in accordance with EN-3;
  • Year data in oval label, first the year and then the month;
  • Do not fill in oval label data by hand;
  • Since July 2019, the Dutch State Type Approval mark (the oval label) must be placed in part 4. This is a correction to previous instructions according to EN 3-7 Art. 16.2 Marking. Reference is made to Figure 2, which indicates what must be (at minimum) included in each part of the label. Part 4 includes, among other things: ‘the number or reference related to the approval of the extinguisher’.
